We are an Eco garden

Marin-Somoma Eco-Friendly Garden Tour

We had a wonderful day welcoming members of the community to our garden to showcase our pollinator garden as part of our Marin-Sonoma Eco Garden Tour on Saturday May 13.

It was our very first time participating and we were one of 17 various stops across the two counties. It was a hit!

We are incredibly lucky to have the support of so many local groups. Make sure to check out their websites to see all the wonderful things happening in our community.

The Corte Madera Beautification Committee were there with educational brochures, as was the educational arm of Marin Water District.

We are also grateful for Annie Sherman, Larkspur School District Board President, and Julie Kritzberger from Corte Madera Chamber of Commerce who both came to offer support and kindly donated their time.

The Marin Monarch Working Group and SPAWN (who protect our salmon and restore native habitats along waterways) also provided valuable materials on monarchs and growing native milkweed.

A beautiful papier-mâché monarch sculpture, made by Kristen Gregoriev from The Marin Monarch Working Group, who kindly brought it along for all to enjoy at the event.

We can’t say a big enough THANK YOU to our troop of volunteers and teachers who helped man the different craft stations. Kids were busy decorating filled seed packets that they took home to plant in their own back yard.
We are so grateful to our community who help make these events happen. And we’d like to thank everyone who came to one of our events this past week.
