From classroom gift to backyard beauty, check out this gorgeous wall of giant sunflowers.

For this 2nd and 5th grade crew from the Rose family, sunflowers are one of their favorite flowers and always puts a smile on their faces.

A sweet gift from one of their teachers inspired this enormous wall of giant sunflowers!

First, they kickstarted their project by germinating the seeds in small pots, then planted them straight into the ground.

Crazy story though… the first flower got snatched by ‘Scaredy the Squirrel’!

But their loyal companion, Obi, a long-haired German Shepherd, leaped into action, guarding the rest of the flowers against any further potential threats. The mere mention of 'Scaredy' now prompts Obi to scan the surroundings, ever watchful for the squirrel's return.
