Spring Cleaning Under Way

We had another successful Garden Work Day on April 1st. Thank you to our volunteers who came out to help beautify our campus!

Under a much-needed blue sky, we had a beautiful morning splitting in to teams to accomplish a few tasks. With Winter just behind us, it was time to do some tidying up, and prepare for Back to School Night!

While some tidied up the edging along the Monarch Waystation patch (check it out, we can’t wait to see some butterflies visit us this summer), others helped plant the classroom trugs with colorful habitat plants, such as Cosmos, Zinnia, Snapdragons, Nemesia. We also planted some veg including Spinach, Kale and Bok Choi!

Our teachers really appreciate the effort to make their spaces colorful and the kids help keep them watered, while learning in the process.

The best part was spending time getting to know each other over coffee, hot chocolate and delicious baked goods.  Everyone had a great time, especially the kids!
